Our trees do so much for us. They provide us with shade and shelter, they filter our air, and they bring us great inspiration. They do all of us this without asking anything in return from us. When we were out walking in the forest recently we noticed that some of the trees were looking a little sad and some were beginning to die. So we stopped, gave them a hug, and asked them what we could do to help. They told us they needed a little love right now. They’ve been working on overdrive for us and their energy is starting to deplete. So our children have decided the best way to show the trees how much we love them is to throw them a party!

The tree party will be an opportunity for us to walk amongst the trees, connect and converse with them, and adorn them with beautiful gifts.
Agenda
9:00am Welcome & Story (An interactive movement story about our relationship with the trees)
9:15am Decorate a Gift for a Tree (Each person will have an opportunity to decorate a small gift that will be placed on a tree as thanks).
9:30am Parade through the Trees (Be guided through a series of exercises in the forest to connect with nature, send gratitude, and spread love)
10:00am Tree Painting Ceremony (Each person/family will be given some water-based paints and invited to decorate a tree to make it feel special and loved)
10:30am Closing Circle (Share a brief meditation spreading love to the trees and enjoy a treat in celebration of them)
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who loves trees! This event is open to everyone of all ages. Children, adults, families, singles are welcome.
We will be walking outdoors in the forest. Parts of the trail are uneven but it is generally an easy walk.
Participants are encouraged to wear rubber boots and dress for outdoors.
